Austin is a young man that has been a part of Piano Etc for over 5 years! He has grown so much as a student, as a learner and as an incredible musician! I couldn’t be prouder of him! Cold Play has always been a favorite band of his….it was so much fun to work on this challenging song together! Way to go, Austin!!!!
Snigdha is a twelve-year-old student that attends Mountain View School and has been a student at Piano Etc. for many years. Her favorite thing about piano lessons is learning new songs. She also loves playing in the recitals every year. Her most recent favorite song is a rendition of “Amazing Grace.” It has been such a privilege to watch her grow and progress throughout the years. Her goal is to be an ‘advanced student.’ Each week that she comes to her lessons gets her one step closer to that goal! Snigdha, I am so proud of you, and I am thrilled to share your beautiful music today!
Liam is a gifted student who has made so much progress in a short amount of time at Piano Etc. He loves to write his own music and demonstrates an amazing ability to add his special ‘touch’ to each piece. Liam also memorizes all of his favorite pieces and can play them spontaneously…and often does! I am so proud of Liam and love working with him each week.
Tegan has been a student at Piano Etc for several years and has made huge progress not only in her note reading ability but also the grace and musical touch that she adds to each song! This recording is a great example of beautiful playing! Way to go, Tegan!!
Andy is an 11 year old student who has been working hard at piano off and on for three years. Andy is a very determined learner! When he first started lessons he worked hard to learn to focus and follow directions to earn his ‘dance time.’ However, now Andy has surpassed all of my goals…. He is reading music independently and using the correct fingering to play his songs! When asked about lessons Andy said, “I learned how to put my hands on the piano and how to read music. I love playing music that I know.”
Sam is a 13 year old student currently attending lessons at Piano Etc. When Sam started piano lessons three years ago our focus was working on basic music concepts including fine motor skills, rhythm and language. Over the past 3 years Sam has made incredible progress in these areas and is now working on a 5 page song!! Sam’s love of music and determination to keep learning has been an inspiration to me as his teacher and I am so proud to share his story as part of Piano Etc Student Highlights! When asked about piano lessons Sam has one response, “I am a Super Star”!!!!
